Sometimes your equipment can let you down. This afternoon the focus of my high-end 400mm lens suddenly stopped working, and we just had an encounter with this handsome male lion. Thankfully, I was able to immediately put aside my anger about my equipment and realize that the situation was much better suited to a wide angle lens and immediately grabbed the 70-200mm. I'm not sure I would have recognized this if my long lens hadn't broken!
