This morning, we left camp very early because we wanted to drive over 1 hour to an extraordinary place. A huge flat plain where we suspected a familiar pride of lions. We were rewarded for our efforts. That morning before sunrise we found a male and a female lion. They were preparing their courtship ritual. The night was very cold, which is why the animals' bodies were literally steaming and you could see the animals' breath. The backlight that turned everything into a beautiful gold was simply unique.
