That day I was a bit physically, exhausted and to make matters worse, we had strong currents in the canal from which we started the dive. That meant I had to dive very close to the sandy bottom against this current for 20 minutes. As I was swimming down against the current and cursing inwardly, I suddenly saw this nudibranche coming straight towards me!
I immediately gave up my mission to fight the current, fell onto the sandy bottom and took this photo. It is very rare to be able to photograph a nudibranche in such an open area!
